Dear UNT Faculty and Staff Colleagues,
The University of North Texas is a great place to work, and that is due in part to the trust we build together with the decisions we make every day. Our high standards for ethics and integrity are the blueprint for a successful workplace. Modeling our Shared Values should guide us every day, in our interactions with each other, our students, and our community. Our robust compliance and ethics program includes policies, procedures, and training to help guide us in making decisions that align with our Shared Values. You may find this in the “UNT Annual Ethics Training: Professional Standards in the Workplace” course, which must be completed annually.
I encourage you to report possible instances of unethical or illegal misconduct involving any university faculty or staff member, student, or affiliate to your supervisor or manager, but if you feel uncomfortable, you may submit a report through the UNT Trust Line.
The UNT Trust Line is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, through an independent third-party vendor. Reports may be made online at trustline.unt.edu, by phone at 877-606-9187, or by texting “Hello” to 940-340-5156, and can be anonymous. All reports are reviewed by University Integrity and Compliance and, as appropriate, investigated by the university. UNT does not tolerate retaliatory action toward any person who, in good faith, reports, seeks guidance, or participates in a compliance-related investigation.
As a caring UNT community, it is important we cultivate an environment where we support each other, cultivate our Shared Values, and hold each other accountable for our actions. If you have questions, please contact University Integrity and Compliance at [email protected] or 940-565-4142.
Thank you for demonstrating your Courageous Integrity in everything you do for UNT.
Respectfully,
Harrison Keller, Ph.D. President
